Had a real fuckin' weird convo with a non-vaxxed friend last night. I heard a lot of the same old stuff (inflated death numbers, just a cold, general mistrust of the vaccine and medical science, etc. . . )

I asked him if he would go to the hospital or just sit at home and die if he caught covid. He said that he wouldn't go to a hospital, but he would go to a doctor that could give him Ivermectin.

Apparently, this has been causing friction in his marriage. His wife has significant health issues, is vaccinated and an educator (plus they have two young children). She has been urging him to get the vaccine and I did the same last night, but the dude apparently doesn't trust those that are the closest to him.

We've been friends for 20+ years and it's just wild to see how far gone he is.

don’t these people know that

The avermectin family of compounds was discovered by Satoshi Ōmura of Kitasato University and William Campbell of Merck. In 1970, Ōmura isolated unusual Streptomyces bacteria from the soil near a golf course along the south east coast of Honshu, Japan.
