as cliche as the term 'real street skating' is and how now in 2010 its lost a lot of the originality it once had, the mid-00s boom of dudes like jason dill, anthony poppalardo and alex olson skating raw stuff in NYC was so awesome. i guess jake johnson is still carrying the torch these days to a degree, he's probably my favourite new skateboarder at the moment due to that...

If I never saw Rodney Mullen skate again, that would be fine by me.

speaking of filmers, i'm a huge fan of bill strobeck. he's partly responsible for the habitat/alien workshop videos of the past few years, major role in 'mosiac' which is one of the best videos ever. even his throwaway footage has such a cool approach to it

ty evans still frustrates me to no end

best video part of the past 5 or so years in my books, the entire second half is full of tricks that could be enders for so many other skater's parts.

I really wish Jerry Hsu would get better. He's been injured for awhile. I was hoping for a quality part in Stay Gold when I heard he made the jump to Emerica.
